Delivery Information

We offer a premium delivery service and make every effort to ensure your gift arrives on the preferred delivery date or in the shortest possible timeframe. We provide delivery information so that you can best plan for your gift delivery. However we know that there is a lot of information to take in! If you are unsure of any aspect of delivery of your gift please don't hesitate to give us a call on 1300 055 439 or ask us via email at sales@brizziebaskets.com.au.

SPECIAL NOTICE: We are closed on all Public Holidays in Australia (when all offices/couriers are closed for business) 

DELIVERY ZONES AND COSTS 

Delivery cost is additional to the quoted price of the gift and is advised via the shipping calculator on the product page and at the online checkout.

Please note we are currently changing our delivery policies. 

Brisbane, Gold and Sunshine Coast Delivery Zones (See a Full List of Postal Codes and Delivery Zones For These Areas Here)

  • Brisbane Local Suburbs (Z1) $17.00 – Expected Same Day if order received before 10am (Fruit baskets an Red Roses require 24 hours notice)
  • Brisbane Suburbs (Z2) $17.00 - $22.50 – Expected Same Day if order received before 10am (Ok for Fruit Baskets if ordered day prior)
  • Brisbane Outer Suburbs / Coastal Areas (Z3) $22.50 - $24.50 – Expected next day if order received by 12pm / Flower delivery in this zone may be same day if received before 10am but will cost $20 and will be sent via our floral network. No fruit basket deliveries to these areas.  

All other Australian Delivery Post Codes* Please see Star-track ‘Transit Times’ for Nationwide Air Satchel http://www.startrack.com.au/. Sender’s suburb is Albany Creek, 4035 (FPA FREIGHT)

  • Interstate Metro and Queensland Metro Areas (3kg) $22.50 (5kg) $24.50 – 1 - 3 business days - Expected Delivery of Gifts**.
  • Interstate Regional and Greater Queensland Regional Areas (Z5)  (3kg) $22.50 (5kg) $24.50 - Expected Delivery 2-7 Days of Gifts**.

*A few of our many gifts are marked as ‘Brisbane Delivery Only’ due to their fragile nature. These gifts can only be sent within local Brisbane suburbs. (Brisbane CBD and surrounding suburbs)

**Picnic hampers and certain very larger hampers (as marked on the product page), traveling interstate, will travel by road via the ‘Express’ service and expected delivery times can vary from 1 – 14 business days. Costs will also vary – please use the calculator on our website. For these deliveries we do not have the option to leave at a Post Office. They need to be left safely (if not containing alcohol or if someone will be home) or delivered to a business premises. If no-one is home at time of delivery – redelivery charges will apply for these items.

We can send flowers anywhere in Australia – however if outside of Zone 1 or Zone 2 they will be sent via our floral network and delivery will cost $20 flat rate across Australia.

BULK ORDER SHIPPING

If you are submitting a bulk order (e.g. corporate hampers or gift baskets) to the one address, please contact us before ordering online so that we can get you a quote for the best possible price!

DELIVERY TIMING

Standard delivery is anywhere from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday for businesses and from 7.30am to 7pm Monday to Friday for home addresses. All deliveries are determined via our courier delivery schedules which, very occasionally, may change and as such are expected and not guaranteed. Weekend delivery is NOT available. TIMED deliveries are possible but will incur a premium courier rate, Give us a call to get a quote on timed delivery prices. Timed deliveries may not be achievable. All timed deliveries should be discussed with and agreed by Brizzie Baskets and Blooms prior to sending the gift.

We welcome our customers to choose a preferred delivery date on the calendar at checkout and we will do everything reasonably possible to deliver your gift on the requested date, BUT is not guaranteed. Please provide an email address that will be regularly checked in case we have to contact you in regards delivery or your gift.


We cannot deliver on public holidays as the courier services do not operate and our office is also closed. For more information on Public Holidays in Australia please visit this Australian Tourism webpage.  All orders that come in on the weekend or a public holiday will be processed on the first day back in the office for the next available delivery. Our office is also closed for the two week period after Christmas day as advertised on the home page of our website during this period.

WHEN THE RECIPIENT IS NOT HOME

We recommend sending to an address where you know someone will be home at the preferred time of delivery or to a business address. Deliveries to hospital patients are also generally straight forward. In most cases, if no-one is home at the time of delivery, your gift will be left in a safe cool place.

If we are given a wrong address we are able to re-deliver your order for an additional delivery charge. If the recipient is not there at the time of delivery, If Authority to Leave has been selected and If the courier is unable to leave the order, we will phone the sender to arrange a new delivery time and an additional delivery fee will apply
 

If you have chosen not to leave in a safe cool place at checkout, and there is no-one home at the time of delivery, the gift may be returned to us or to a depot and there may be an and additional charge for redelivery.

Unit Addresses

When a gift is being shipped to a unit address the staff at Brizzie Baskets may call the gift recipient prior to delivery to ensure they will be home at the time of delivery. If the order is marked as ‘Safe to Leave’ we will do so. Very occasionally a courier may not deem a gift safe to leave even if the order is marked as safe to leave, in these instances a calling card will be left and the gift recipient will be required to pick up the gift from a safe depot/our store/ a local post office depending on the delivery area.

Gifts Containing Alcohol

Gifts with alcohol are not able to be left unattended and must be signed for by someone over 18 years old. If there is no-one home to receive the gift a calling card will be left and the gift recipient will be required to pick up the gift from a safe depot/our store/ a local post office depending on the delivery area.

Delivery to PO Box Addresses

We do not deliver to PO Boxes.

Delivery to Business Addresses

We will deliver within regular business hours (before 5pm) and hand to a staff member or reception as requested on the order. TIMED DELIVERIES EXTRA.

DELIVERY TERMS

  • Whilst we make every effort to deliver by the date requested, this is not always possible. Late delivery does not constitute a failure of our agreement nor does it entitle cancellation of an order.
  • If for any reason we have made an error which has resulted in us not sending the parcel to the correct address and the parcel has been returned to us, we will immediately re-ship it to you at our cost to your correct address.
  • If however, the parcel has been returned to us as a result of error or inaction on your part, and we incur additional charges for the return shipment and then for shipment back out to your advised address, then we reserve the right to pass these additional charges that we incur onto you, as a condition of sending the parcel back to you.
  • Examples of error or inaction are if you enter an incorrect or incomplete address (including not noting a company name where delivery is to a business address) or where you do not claim the parcel for more than 1 week from when the delivery driver leaves a card in your mailbox notifying you of their attempted delivery.
  • If you opt to cancel the order and if the item is returned to us in original condition then we will refund you less all shipping costs incurred + 10% Cancellation Fee.
  • Non delivery complaints must be received within 1 month of the delivery date. Complaints received after this time frame will be considered on an individual basis.

Substitution Policy

Gift Presentations:

Styles and types of containers may vary and include cane baskets and trays, tin tubs, timber and cardboard boxes and pots.

ALL items, including containers, food and beverages are subject to stock availability. However, we guarantee any substitution will be of equal or greater value.

We cannot guarantee that cancelations or alterations to contents or delivery details eg. time change, can always be actioned, therefore a cost may be incurred by the purchaser.

Flower Arrangements:

Every effort is made to create our floral arrangements to the same shape, size, flower variety and colour as pictured. In the case where a specific flower type or colour is unavailable within the given time frame of delivery, substitutions may be made within the arrangement to achieve the same overall shape, style and colour effect and to ensure that the order is delivered on time.

Flowers of a similar shape, size and value but different type and colour may be used if other flowers in the arrangement substitute for that colour and the overall effect of the arrangement is maintained.

In arrangements of a single flower variety (e.g. rose bouquet), the flower variety will take precedence over colour but we will call to discuss your order first.

We encourage our customers to indicate a second choice in the order form next to 'Special instructions' to allow for any difficulty in supplying the order to exact specification.

Peak Periods

Substitution of goods and containers and delivery of gifts as stated above may be more prevalent at peak periods, particularly Christmas, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. Also during these peak times it is not always possible to customise gift baskets and hampers.

The last delivery of gift baskets and hampers outside of the South East Queensland area is 4 working days prior to Christmas day.

The last delivery of gift baskets and hampers outside Brisbane is 2 working days prior to Christmas day.

Brizzie Baskets & Blooms closes for two (2) weeks during the Christmas - New Year period. Any purchases made after the cut-off times will be delivered on our return.

However - please be assured that every effort is made to fulfill your requirements as requested.

Purchase of Gifts Containing Alcohol

It is illegal to sell wine to anyone under the age of 18. By placing an order with Brizzie Baskets & Blooms, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. Remember, it is an offence to obtain liquor on behalf of a person under the age of 18 years; this includes purchasing the wines as a gift. If in doubt our staff may request some form of ID with proof of age at the time of purchase and / or delivery.

We deliver alcohol in gifts anywhere in Australia, except for areas that are classified by the Australian Government as dry zones or Australian Islands that are classified as in International Waters. If you are unsure whether we can deliver to your area, please call us on 1300 055 439.

Delivery into the areas specified is restricted and Liquorland and its couriers will not deliver to the following postcodes/locations:

Quality Complaints

At Brizzie Baskets we pride ourselves on the quality of our gift presentations. However, if you do have an issue with your gift please let us know. Complaints must be received within two weeks of delivery. A photo is highly recommended for quick resolution to quality complaints.
